Ruth Márquez

Administration and Marketing Coordinator

I love serving with passion in ministry and spiritual formation, dedicating my life to walking alongside others in their spiritual growth and biblical teaching. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Geography from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus (BA), and a Master of Professional Studies with a concentration in Missions (MPS) from the Seminario Teológico de Puerto Rico. I’m also endorsed by the Baptist Churches of Puerto Rico.

I have a strong conviction of God’s calling on my life to the mission field. I have chosen to be a vessel in His hands so that the Kingdom of Heaven may be made known and lives may be restored. My calling is rooted in a deep desire to see lives transformed by the gospel—not only intellectually, but also in everyday life. I have had the blessing of serving through biblical teaching, discipleship, and group leadership, particularly among women and young adults. I deeply believe in the value of walking alongside others in their journey, accompanying them with patience, grace, and truth.

I carry a deep burden for relational discipleship and for seeing people embrace their identity in Christ, living out an authentic faith that transforms every area of their lives. Serving in intercultural contexts has allowed me to learn, listen, and value how God reveals Himself through different cultures, enriching the way I teach and walk alongside others. This has broadened my understanding of God’s Kingdom and deepened my sensitivity toward people. I’m committed to equipping leaders who live out their faith with integrity, cultivating a genuine relationship with God and reflecting His character in every area of their lives. I believe in the importance of slowing down, listening to God, and walking in obedience.

What are you passionate about in your role at AETH?
I am passionate about being a channel of blessing through which different processes, teachings, and spaces for formation can be developed. It fills me with joy to see how God uses the work we do at AETH to impact lives, form leaders, and walk alongside others in their spiritual growth. I also deeply value serving in an intercultural context, where we learn from one another and witness the richness of the body of Christ in its diversity.

In my free time...
I love reading; it is one of my favorite hobbies and something I truly enjoy and that builds me up. I also love spending time with my family and sharing moments with my closest friends. For me, these spaces are a gift from God where I can rest, recharge, and strengthen meaningful relationships.

My favorite book...
I have many books that I love, but one that has deeply marked my life is The Martyr of the Catacombs. Through this story, God has spoken to me and challenged me at different stages of my life, reminding me of the cost of discipleship, faithfulness in the midst of trials, and the value of standing firm in faith.

A person who inspires me...
Historically, Amy Carmichael deeply inspires me because of the testimony of her life and the powerful work God accomplished through her. Her story is marked by dedication, sacrifice, and genuine love. On a personal level, my parents are a constant source of inspiration. Through their lives, I have been able to see God’s care, faithfulness, and provision in a tangible way.
